Alcatraz Canoe Journey 2019
Tax deductible
Honoring our past. Ensuring our future.
On the 50th anniversary of the historic Alcatraz Occupation, Alcatraz Canoe Journey 2019 will celebrate the courage and foresight of the 1969 Occupiers, while working to build a more just and sustainable future for us all.
Money raised will defray costs associated with hosting Alcatraz Canoe Journey in San Francisco on Indigenous Peoples’ Day (October 14, 2019), while building the infrastructure to inform, inspire and sustain Indigenous youth to carry forward visionary work initiated by our elders 50 years ago.
Tax-deductible donations made to our GoFundMe campaign will benefit Alcatraz Canoe Journey 2019, an affiliate of MarinLink, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which is Alcatraz Canoe Journey’s fiscal sponsor.
Thank you for joining this movement--for your contribution, for sharing our vision and for standing together with us, so that Indigenous people can come together to reclaim values and lifeways that will ensure a sustainable world.
The opportunity to captivate hearts, engage minds and energize our community is limitless, so we will continue to raise our goal as the campaign continues.
