Many of you know may know Alcira Mendieta. Her son, Diego, has been diagnosed with HLH and is currently receiving Chemotherapy to treat this rare condition.
He has been hospitalized for 3 weeks at Cook's Childrens and will continue to receive these treatments for the next few weeks and then re-evaluated.
Diego Alejandro is 15, a freshman at Northwest High School and is in Honors classes. He is excited to be playing American football and hopes to one day be able to play with his team and classmates again.
Alcira has not left his side and could use financial assistance to help cover loss wages and assistance with medical expenses. Her husband has been by their side when not at work. Any assistance you can give would help them tremendously. Prayers are also requested for their family. Thank you for your consideration.
