I’m excited to share with you that I have been invited to serve as a Fire In The Night Intercessory Missionary with the International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City. IHOP is a community of believers that have been leading 24/7 nonstop worship for the past 20 years, training others to whole-heartedly love Jesus and others, as well as many other forms of ministry. As an Intercessory Missionary, I, along with other young adults from around the world, will spend 3 months with the Lord, beholding His beauty, responding to Him through prayer, and learning about Him in a way that only few do. I will be doing local outreach, prayer ministry, and spending 6-hours, 6-days a week in the Prayer Room from 12 midnight to 6 A.M. This lifestyle of praying through the night is a call to a contemplative lifestyle in which we spend our lives before the Lord.
“Behold, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who by night stand in the house of the Lord! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.
The Lord who made heaven and earth bless you from Zion!”
(Psalm 134:9)
As the only Catholic attending, I’m taking this opportunity to not only serve the community of Kansas City, but to also be a bridge between Catholics and our Protestant brothers and sisters. Serving with an ecumenical community will allow for much healing and dialogue to take place, and I am honored to be a part of it. But in order to carry out this mission, I am in need of your support in two ways: spiritually and financially. Tuition for this three-month mission is $3,275. The tuition includes; housing, meals, and spiritual formation. If you are not able to support me financially, I ask that you still pray for me and ask the Lord for these three things: to trust Him, to see Him, and to have favor with Him and man.
