Ale Martinez

It is with a heavy heart that I share this message. On Saturday, 11/11, we tragically lost Ale Martinez.

This GoFundMe has been created to assist the Martinez family in covering the unforeseen funeral expenses. If you're in a position to donate, your contribution would be immensely appreciated. If not, a message or your condolences would be equally meaningful.

As we grapple with the unfairness of Ale's passing, I can't help but imagine what Ale would want from us. I can almost hear her saying, "Sure, be sad—I'm pretty great, everyone's going to miss me!" in that endearing, comical tone she so often used, paired with that quirky smile we all adored. Adjusting to this new reality without Ale is undeniably challenging, but it's important that we also celebrate the incredible life she lived in her short 30 years. As her sister Alyssa said, "She lived 10 adventurous lifetimes and did so many things” like exploring Thailand, backpacking through Europe, and traversing South America, among many other experiences.

While Ale may no longer be with us, her spirit will endure in our hearts and memories. We'll recall her during awkward moments (she was the queen of awkward moments), in moments we stumble (she was notoriously clumsy), and, above all, in moments of love. Ale's legacy is one of love—for her friends, her family, and the love she had for life. She leaves behind a profound imprint of love that will forever live within us.
