Aleeza's Road to Recovery
Help us help Aleeza Kempton
On March 5th, our beautiful Aleeza was in a serious car accident. She was ejected from her vehicle, causing trauma to her brain, a cracked pelvis, and a compression injury to her spine. She has already undergone an operation to relieve the swelling on her brain, and is being kept sedated at this time to allow that swelling to go down. We wish we had more details, but please check back for updates as we know more.
As many know, Aleeza has been an athlete her whole life. She played soccer all through school until she discovered track in high school. Her senior year, she broke state records in Florida and was offered a track scholarship to Troy University in Alabama. She had a very successful track career her first two years at Troy, and even walked on to the soccer team her sophomore year. Even after giving up sports her junior year to focus on academics, she has stayed physically fit by going to the gym. All through her four years in college, she has worked extremely hard to succeed academically, as well. She is all set to graduate in May, just 2 short months away. All of this goes to say how hard of a worker & how strong mentally and physically she is.
She was on her way home to Florida for spring break when the accident occured. She had her beloved dog, Bentley, with her- who we are still trying to find.
Any money raised for Aleeza will go directly towards the overwhelming medical expenses from this tragic accident. Your contribution will help to make Aleeza's long road to recovery easier, and we appreciate every dollar more than you will ever know.
We are staying positive & hopeful and expect our sweet, strong girl to make a full recovery. We appreciate every kind word, thought, hug, and prayer, as well as the outpouring of love and support we have received.
Thank you from our entire family. <3
