Alejandro Mercado Funeral Fund

Alejandro was unexpectedly taken from us overnight last night. He was a victim in a car accident right down the street from his family home. He leaves behind two loving parents and two brothers who will miss him dearly. 
He was a freshman at University of Toledo and recent 2020 graduate from Lakewood High School. Alejandro had a bright future ahead of him. He was accepted into the Engineering program through the University of Toledo where he hoped to gain knowledge to someday travel the world and help others. His life's goal was to help underprivileged countries gain infrastructure to improve their quality of life.  This loss is not only great to our family but the world. This kid was going to change things.
Alejandro loved his family and was very close with his friends. They were family to him too.  He always wanted to save lives by being an organ donor. We have decided to honor his wishes and hope that lives will be saved as a response to our great loss. 

No parent plans to bury their child. This is not something we were prepared to do. Our immediate goal was getting him through college, this was the last thing we thought we would be doing, eleven days after celebrating his nineteen birthday.  Our family appreciates any donations given for his funeral.
