Alejandro Yañez Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Maria José Yanez, me and my siblings are fundraising money to help our dad Alejandro cover the expenses of his current medical bills.

Alejandro is from a place near Mexico City, for the family and friends who know him, is considered as a caring human being, since he always showed a great passion for helping others and an interest in sharing his faith. Among his projects, there are some that we believe left a great impact on our region, such as the founding of the food bank, volunteer in fundraising to maintain the habitat of the monarch butterfly, as well as collaborating at the Ledger Dogs for the Blind and United Way of  Mexico.

Today life has put a great test on him, therefore now we, his family, are the ones that kindly ask for your help and prayers. Though we are all relieved that so far, he's giving the best out of him and trusting God's plans, we know he still has a long road to recovery and probably other incoming expenses and treatments.

It all started with a diagnosis of a possible cancer in the mesentery, due to a tumor that was pressing on his small intestine, preventing him from eating. After a first exploratory surgery and surgery to modify his digestive system, he had to undergo a second surgery to stop internal bleeding. This second surgery caused his intestines to stick together, leaving them immobile and unable to process food, so he had to undergo a third surgery to try to alleviate this problem.

A few days ago, we received the incredible news that the "tumor" seems to have disappeared and therefore also the possibility of having cancer. We hope that the third surgery will have the desired results with no further complications. For now he will stay under observation in intensive care at the hospital in Toluca, Mexico.
