In the midst of life’s vibrant tapestry, tragedy often strikes unexpectedly, leaving behind a void that seems insurmountable. This is the heart-wrenching reality that our dear friends, the Beiga family, are facing. On a fateful day in Switzerland, their loved son, Aleksas, was taken from this world in a devastating avalanche. Words cannot capture the depth of sorrow we feel, nor adequately express the profound loss of a young soul so full of promise, joy, and vitality. At the tender age of 15, Aleksas embodied the essence of youth – his infectious laughter, boundless energy, and compassionate heart touched the lives of all who knew him.

Aleksas was more than just a son, grandson, brother, and friend: he was a ray of sunshine that brightened every room he entered. His vivacity knew no bounds, and his zest for life was unparalleled. Whether he was diving into the swimming pool, racing down the trails on his bike, or carving up the slopes on his skis, Aleksas approached every moment with enthusiasm and passion.

Beyond his adventurous spirit, Aleksas was a beacon of kindness and intelligence. His warmth and empathy knew no bounds, and he had a remarkable ability to uplift those around him with his words and actions. Whether it was through a witty joke that brought laughter to a somber moment or a thoughtful gesture that offered comfort to a friend in need, Aleksas had a profound impact on all who crossed his path.

The sudden loss of Aleksas has left an irreparable void in the hearts of his family and friends. The pain of his absence is immeasurable, and the grief weighs heavily on all who knew and loved him.

As we grapple with the enormity of this tragedy and come together to support Aleksas’ family in their time of need, we humbly ask for your generosity and compassion. The financial burden of bringing Aleksas’ body home and navigating the aftermath of this tragedy is immense, and any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in alleviating their burden. But beyond financial support, we also ask for your prayers and thoughts as we mourn the loss of this beautiful soul.

In honoring Aleksas’ memory, let us come together to support his family in their time of grief. Let us rally around them with love and solidarity, affirming that though Aleksas may be gone, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and your prayers. Together, we can help bring Aleksas home and provide his family with the closure and peace they so desperately seek.

Aleksas has been survived by his dad, Nerijus, mom, Sonata, sister, Eva, grandmothers, Marija and Birute, uncles Edvinas, Marius and Gediminas.

With heartfelt gratitude, Neringa Mockus
