Alelí rumbo al ISA World Para Surfing Championship
Donation protected
Greetings! Please join us in fundraising for Alelí Medina Suárez. Alelí has been invited to attend the ISA World Para Surfing Championship in California, representing Puerto Rico. We are so proud of her!
Since childhood, Alelí has learned to surf from her parents and loves the sea. At 3 months of age, she was diagnosed with a cyst in the left eye which triggered multiple conditions and surgeries. It was not until 7 years of age that she lost total vision in her left eye because of an accident at school. Her right eye has partial vision but these limitations have not stopped her from surfing every day, a sport that she loves.
She has now earned a spot to compete at the next championship in Pismo Beach, California with the ISA World Para Surfing Championship this December. Para surfing is an adapted form of surfing that allows people with physical disabilities to ride ocean waves on a surfboard. All athletes must have an eligible impairment to compete in para surfing events.
Please help Alelí get to California this December to compete in the ISA World Para Surfing Championship. Your donations will be appreciated for years to come.
