Aleta Davis Johnson Cancer Treatment Costs

Aleta was diagnosed with breast cancer last fall. Initially thought to be localized, it was discovered that the cancer had spread outside the original location, requiring her to have a partial mastectomy in November. Aleta was off work for 5 weeks while she healed from the surgery. When she returned to work, she was unable to physically manage her job as a CNA. She started a new job with Roger Maris Cancer Center in the end of January and, although RMCC has been most accommodating of her situation, she does not have PTO and does not qualify for short term disability.

Aleta is a single mom to an 18 year old daughter. She is an incredibly hard worker and a very gifted caregiver. She has maintained a second job throughout this entire process to pay her medical bills and maintain her home. She would never ask for help but we can see the strain this illness has put on her. Her medical insurance is decent but her out of pocket expenses are already over $3000 and growing. Recently she has suffered significant radiation burns and she is now unable to work for at least the next few weeks.

Please help us help her ease the financial burden of completing her cancer treatment.
