Alex and Dilly Rebuild Life After Ian

Hurricane Ian ripped through our community on Wednesday, September 28. Some things came as a shock, including that renters insurance doesn’t cover floods or much of anything hurricane-related, to say the least. Our good friends and most likely all of yours, DILLY (Tim Dillingham) and Alex Plonka, have suffered significant loss of their home and nearly everything inside. Close friends have helped salvage most clothing and kitchenware, but almost everything else in their home was a total loss.

Alex and Dilly are both self-employed, running businesses in SWFL. If you haven’t heard of Dilly's Fish Co., he catches and sells the freshest fish on the South West Coast of FL. One of the only day boat fishermen selling fresh fish to locals. His boats were kept safe, but most equipment was lost. For example, ice machines, electric fishing rods, diving gear, and freezers, to name a few. For those who don’t know Alex, she’s one of Naples's TOP spin instructors, a personal trainer, and the leader and founder of the SWFL QUAD SQUAD. Her efforts and work are always focused on bettering and caring for everyone she passes. Even though most of her equipment is off-site, her essential items to run her business were destroyed. For example, her desktop, laptop, and spin bike are all at a loss. Sentimental items can never be replaced, but with any help, this money will go towards rebuilding their lives and businesses.

If you’re blessed to know Alex and Dilly, then you know how generous and selfless they are. Always willing to lend a hand and give anything they have to the people they know. Donating is our opportunity to show them how much we love and care for them!
