Alex and Vee Newcombe Fire Relief Fund

Hey Folks! Alex and Vee here. Those of you that know us know we aren't ones to put our hand out looking for anything. In normal times, a lot of our friends and family came to us for help, and we were gladly there for them. In this situation, we don't have much of a choice...
On April 11th 2021, we were enjoying a much deserved day off, when tragedy struck home quite literally. Somehow near the outdoor electrical socket at the back addition caught fire. As you can see in the initial picture, the whole back addition was destroyed structurally and we are out of home. To make matters worse, we are losing 90% of our possessions to smoke damage. Unfortunately we don't have enough insurance to cover all of our contents and possessions. Along with covid, almost all of our savings have been invested in keeping our local small business in Renfrew Ontario alive...
I (Alex) am not here for me. I'm here for my wife Vee, and for my pets. They deserve the world, and I intend to help them get everything they do most definitely deserve for all the love and caring they show me. I didn't plan ahead enough to get enough insurance coverage, and my mistake has cost them and I quite dearly.
So, here I am, hat in hand.... asking for whatever help you can give. We are currently staying with friends for the next 2 months while we look for a new place or wait for the current one to finish being rebuilt, but that comes along with its own expenses as well... We don't yet have storage space for any physical new items, and with covid aren't able to shop in person or even at thrift shops. All things must be bought online. That obviously comes with its own challenges, and who knows how long insurance is going to wait before covering the 50% ish that they will
If you have 5$, 10$.. 2$... whatever helps get me closer to being able to get us back on our feet again through this miserable time in life, we will be eternally grateful. Apologies for having to ask in the first place... we just don't know what else to do right now.
If you can't afford to help, we love and respect you for reading this far regardless. If you have the ability to share this with people that do, we would appreciate that. Thanks guys. No one is more embarrassed or ashamed to be doing this than I am, but in times like these you do what you can to make sure you can provide for your loved ones until you're back on your feet. Take care.
**PLEASE IF ANYTHING AT ALL COMES OF THIS, I WISH YOU TO TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR INSURANCE POLICIES AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH COVERAGE. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID**
