Alex (AR305) Road To Recovery

Donation protected
Dear family, friends, and all kind supporters,

My name is Yani and my younger brother Alex A Rodriguez is currently in a coma right now in the hospital. He was in a car accident that happened last Tuesday night (04/02/2024) and was in a head-on collision with another vehicle in full force. His head smashed into the front windshield and he lost a lot of blood but he was so brave that he called 911 himself.

He had to be airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, and upon arrival at the hospital, we were notified that his brain was hemorrhaging and spinal fluid had leaked into his brain. He had a frontotemporal depressed skull, as well as a broken foot distal tibia/ankle that broke the skin. The surgeons did an emergency craniotomy and Alex underwent a 7-hour surgery.

Alex has to go through many more surgeries for his leg and head and has a long way to go through rehab. The doctor tells us that we have to wait until he wakes up and opens his eyes and it could be months for that to happen and they are uncertain in what state of mind he will be in.

Alex is known by his close friends and family as AR305, he has such a big heart ❤️ he is the sweetest kid you can ever meet. I always tell everyone he is a BIG guy, weighs around 280 lbs and is 5'11, has tattoos of anime characters, he is such a big fan of anime that his room is full of anime Funko Pop. He is a kid in a man's body. our big teddy bear, our panda bear. My family and I still can't process what's going on, our hearts are broken into many pieces. He was just with us last Tuesday 04/02/2024 at home eating dinner in the afternoon. He said goodbye to the family and kissed us as he left and said," I would be back just going to my best friend's house for a little bit" and he never came back home.

At this time, we are asking for prayers, love, and support for Alex. If you would like to donate to help with medical bills and other expenses this will relieve some of the pressures of existing and future financial obligations. We are grateful for the immense support from our family and friends, and any contribution, big or small, will make a significant difference in helping Alex to come out of the coma, regain his health, and return to his loved ones.

Sincerely,

Rodriguez family
