Alex @ Berkshire Scouts Project Africa 24

Hi, my name is Alex, I'm a explorer scout and Young Leader with 9th Bracknell (South Hill). I give my time to help out at our scout group.

I am fundraising to take part in Project Africa 24 to Malawi next July.

A 3 week working trip to help out with the Joshua charity, suporting orphans and local school children.

We have to raise £3750 each within 12 months.

So far I have sold sweet cones and gift jars, washed cars, taken on gardening jobs, helped out at scout fayres and cinema nights for cubs and beavers, as well as being part of the fundraising team at the county dragon boat regatta cooking bacon butties!

I aim to become a scout leader and then a chef in the Royal Navy.

The funds will be used to support the Joshua charity and help me get to Malawi with 75 other scouts.
