Alex Schuldt Memorial Fund

My name is Carson, I’ve know Alex for 25 years and have never met anyone else like him on earth. While I know the connection we had was special, over the last month it’s been more clear and undeniable that Alex has touched so many more people than anyone ever knew. Lots of people have been asking how we are going to memorialize Alex in his home town. In his honor, we are going to celebrate his life and legacy by throwing him a big Chicagoland party and anyone touched by Al is invited!

 

In order to make the night extra special, we are hoping to bring in a small amount of funds to ensure lots of people can have a good time. Alex loved music, so we are bringing in a stellar Grateful Dead cover band, a nasty dirty blues man, and others are looking to join. We would like to offer some snacks like pizza, salads, and sub shop to go around for all. If we are blessed enough to hit this memorial fund goal, the intention is to donate any remaining funds above costs to Anderson Humane of Elgin, Il. (https://www.andersonanimalshelter.org/) I think we can all agree the only thing Alex loved more than you, me, and music, was dogs.

 

Ever made Al’s love/stone soup!? It starts with a big kettle with Al’s love in it. When everyone chips into the kettle, we all will enjoy it even more. Hopefully if everyone throws in what they have to spare from their hearts so we can make it a night to remember.

Note: the Twisted Rose has Donated the venue to us for the night, so be sure to thank them!!!

 

Pizza: $1000

Bands: $700

2 Kegs or Craft Beer: $300

 

We have others helping to make the stone soup in different ways, too! Some Grateful Dead decorated cookies are coming, folks have offered to help decorate, and we welcome any other gestures people are looking to assist with!
