Alex Spencer - Debut Single and Video release

I'm Alex, I’m 13 from Manchester.
I am asking my friends, family and supporters for help to fulfil my dream of releasing my debut single!
If you follow me on social media, then you’re aware that I am a budding musician. You've probably seen my videos and live streams on social media or maybe busking in Manchester City centre?
Once lockdown began, I could no longer go out busking and entertaining the crowds, Instead, I started making live streams and cover videos (some featuring my brother Luca) which attracted a lot of interest on social media.
Our videos were retweeted by Oasis and Man City, and we appeared on Man City TV! Radio X did 2 features on us, plus artists such as Liam Gallagher, Aitch, Deco, Badly Drawn Boy, The La’s, Slow Readers Club and The Coral all gave us praise. I appeared on BBC Radio Manchester and XS Manchester. I'm hoping to be able to use these contacts to help push my single and get more people to hear it! I would love to get my single on the Radio and Television!
As for everyone, lockdown has been a difficult period for me and my family, but It’s given me the chance to be more creative and I’ve been able to play the guitar regularly and write my own songs. One song in particular ‘Things just come and go’ has had a great reaction on social media and when I played it live. It was written about my experiences during lockdown, so I think it’s the perfect time for my debut release, but I will need your support to help cover recording, filming and marketing costs.
I would be eternally grateful if you could support me, even £1 would help! It’s not a problem if you cannot, I’m just grateful that you follow me on social media and hit ‘like’ on my videos!
I will be donating 20% of any proceeds from sales of my song to the youth mental health charity ‘Young Mind’s – During Lockdown, I struggled at times, it was difficult being locked in the house, not being able to see friends and family and live an active normal life. It has been a challenging time for all of us but I’m aware there are many worse off and I feel Young Minds is a great charity who can utilise my donation for a good cause.
If I am fortunate enough to reach my target and there is any money left over, then I will be also donating it to ‘Young Minds’, that will be all thanks to you!!
Here are my breakdown of costs:
· Studio – Recording, Mixing and Mastering track - £400
· Professional Video – Filming, editing, props - £700
· Marketing - £500 minimum
· Digital single Distribution - £20
· PRS/Copyright – £100
· Web Site – platform to sell digital download/domains – £200
· Go fund Me fees - £80 (If hit target)
· Total – £2000
I will ensure anyone who donates will get a digital download 1 week before release plus my eternal gratitude! I will be playing a couple of live streams in the next 2 weeks! I will also arrange some other gifts for larger donations such as a handwritten lyric sheet and a facetime call, where I will perform my song live for you!
The single will be a digital download and it will be self-released on my own label Alex Spencer Music!
I hope you can help me start my future in the music industry and release my debut single. As I know this is exactly what I want to do!
