Friends and Family,

My name is Adam King, and I am fundraising for my good friend and business partner, Alex Fife. Alex is a fantastic friend, entrepreneur, and, most importantly, an amazing Father to two beautiful young girls.

On Thanksgiving, Alex woke up coughing up blood and had red dots covering his skin. He quickly went to the Emergency Room and was informed he had a critically low platelet count. That night, he was given an emergency blood transfusion to stabilize his condition.

Alex has been in the hospital for the past two weeks trying several treatments that have yet to be successful. His Doctors are now asking him to do a treatment called Rituximab which is an immune therapy, where he will have one infusion every week for four weeks. As a self-employed individual, Alex does not have health insurance to cover this costly treatment. Without this treatment, Alex's platelet count will continue to decrease, and he will end up back in the hospital.
