Alex Watkins Headstone Memorial

Donation protected
On July 15, 2019- just before 11:00 p.m. - our bother, Richard Alex Watkins, was shot in the side and left on the street to die. Alex had his own demons-  but no other human is qualified to take another humans' life- PERIOD. Due to the open investigation, and the shooter at large- I really wouldn't like to go into details beyond that at this time. Despite all the rumors, just know that it is a cold-blooded, premeditated murder the Wabash city police are dealing with.

His tragic ,unexpected death has left my family mourning beyond comprehension. While dealing with their grief, they are forced to make an attempt to cover all the costs that come along with death. Alex wished to be cremated- which my parents were able to cover expenses for that. They also were able to buy his burial plot (along with theirs, so they could be beside their son)  which will be in a family area at Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.  Any money generated from this campaign would be used to hopefully get a headstone that can hold his urn/ or that has some kind of cremation chambers.

Obviously, No amount of money will ease the pain of our loss. Minimizing some of the financial stress of getting Alex a headstone ASAP may assist my family in having a nice place to visit him when our grief is overwhelming.  Regardless  of the amount raised...he will receive a headstone at some point- I was just hoping it could be sooner, rather than later.

We will be having a celebration of life for Alex at Fall Cemetery Chapel in Wabash, Indiana on Saturday- July 27th from 1pm-4pm. If you have a specific memory of a time Alex made you laugh or smile.. please come tell us about it. Memories are all we have left.

If you cannot donate- that is 100% just fine. Just please keep our family in your thoughts, and pray they find the evil person(s) who felt they had the right end Alex's life.
