Alexander Park Mini Soccer Pitch

The Southern Crescent Soccer Foundation, in partnership with the City of McDonough, proudly announce the unveiling of a new mini pitch soccer field at Alexander Park. This is the result of a collaborative effort to embrace the multiculturalism and to foster unity through soccer.

Located on the historic site of a former municipal swimming pool, which was closed and filled in post-desegregation, the establishment of the mini pitch is symbolic of McDonough's forward movement. By transforming a site with a complex past into a vibrant space for a multi-cultural sport, the city highlights its commitment to celebrating the diversity of its youth and citizens.

The mini pitch is not just a sports facility, it is a beacon of progress enhanced by the beautiful game. It will provide more opportunities for kids to play. Soccer will get them active while also developing social skills and bringing the community closer together.
