Alexandra's Journey to the North American Youth Champs

Hi! My name is Alexandra Wickett and I was recently named to the Ontario Young Riders team alongside my horse Phil to represent Canada at the North American Youth Championships. When I started eventing 7 years ago, Young Riders was always my biggest dream and the goal I've worked towards. I am so grateful and excited to finally have the opportunity to compete at Young Riders. Amidst the excitement leading up to the competition, the financial demands of this endeavour often fade into the background. Entry fees, stabling, accommodation, food, transportation, and coaching are just a few of the expenses which add up as I plan my journey to the championships.
