Never thought I’d be writing this. Having to type this is so hard & painful. My entire family is devastated. We ask that you all keep Alexis in your prayers. Those who knew Alexis know how much of a sweet and quiet boy he is. Never gave us any hard times & absolutely loves playing soccer!

Alexis had been struggling with mental health. He is now in critical condition, had a bone removed from the right side of his head in order to release all the pressure from his brain & allow the brain to not swell up. He suffered critical illness requiring intensive care and is currently in the Critical Care Unit. On March 3rd he had a Cervical spine surgery as there’s broken bones. All in less than 10 hours. Doctors say Alexis has a long road to recovery. As some of you may know my dad is still in Argentina and we’re working our hardest to bring him back to be by his side. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain my dad is feeling, all alone and not being able to be by his side. We are asking for everyone’s help to get through this tough time.

Alexis will be getting all the help at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The team here is doing an amazing job. Physically he’s fighting and not giving up, once he wakes up doctors will know what the next steps are. For the past 24 hours he’s been asleep, fighting but moved his hand once he heard my mom’s voice.

Nunca pensé que estaría escribiendo esto. Tener que escribir esto es muy duro y doloroso. Toda mi familia está devastada. Les pedimos a todos que tengan a Alexis en sus oraciones. Quienes conocieron a Alexis saben lo dulce y tranquilo que es. Nunca nos dio momentos difíciles y le encanta jugar al fútbol.

Alexis había estado luchando con su salud. Ahora se encuentra en estado crítico, le quitaron un hueso del lado derecho de la cabeza para liberar toda la presión de su cerebro y permitir que no se hinche. Sufrió una enfermedad grave que requirió cuidados intensivos y actualmente se encuentra en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. El 3 de marzo se sometió a una cirugía de columna cervical porque tiene huesos rotos. Todo en menos de 10 horas. Los médicos dicen que Alexis tiene un largo camino hacia la recuperación. Como algunos de ustedes saben, mi padre todavía está en Argentina y estamos trabajando lo más duro posible para que regrese y esté a su lado. No puedo ni siquiera imaginar el dolor que está sintiendo mi padre, solo y sin poder estar a su lado. Pedimos la ayuda de todos para superar este momento tan difícil.

Alexis recibirá toda la ayuda en el Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. El equipo aquí está haciendo un trabajo increíble. Físicamente está luchando y no se rinde; una vez que despierte, los médicos sabrán cuáles son los próximos pasos. Durante las últimas 24 horas ha estado dormido, luchando, pero movió la mano cuando escuchó la voz de mi madre.
