We are raising funds for Leah Scruggs to be able to lay her firstborn daughter to rest. Alexis Griffin, 18, whose life was tragically taken during a senseless shooting in Gaffney. She is the precious daughter of Leah Scruggs, who now has the burden of financial worry on top of enduring the reality of every mother's worst nightmare.

Alexis was traveling in an SUV with her boyfriend on 01/04/2023 when a transaction of a shoe sale turned deadly. After a disagreement or altercation, the teen began open fire at the vehicle where one of the bullets struck Alexis. Her boyfriend sent Leah one text stating her daughter had been shot, an address, and nothing further. When Leah arrived, she discovered she never even had the opportunity to say goodbye as Alexis passed away on the way to the hospital but no one even told her during her travel to Gaffney Sc which took over an hour. Alexis has two little sisters Leah is consoling through all of this as well, one 11 and one 14. We as friends, family or even strangers cannot do anything to make this life event better for Leah and the girl; the financial stress of this horrendous situation is something we can assist with.
