We have organized this Go Fund Me on behalf of our Co-worker, Gene Kinard and his wife, Courtney upon the passing of their daughter, Alexis Knight, on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. This fundraiser was organized so that no matter what expenses they incur it will not be something they need to worry about. Thank You everyone and God bless. "My daughter, Alexis Knight passed away on Thursday, she was technically my stepdaughter, but neither of us ever called her that, because she was and continues to be my daughter. Our love and relationship never knew that boundary, Alexis nick-named me "Pops" and that is who I will always be. Alexis was an amazing young woman, who advocated and served the disabled and the homeless communities through a foundation she created while she herself was ill. Despite having had 38 surgeries and being on dialysis 16 years, Alexis always sought to encourage and empower others bringing them hope, even when she was in pain. Alexis began making pain relief products and started a small business, JOURNE Wellness LLC. to help facilitate healing for people suffering with joint pain. She donated many products to those in severe pain and those in need. Despite everything she faced, Alexis has left our family and community with a testimony of endurance, giving, hope and love. " Your gifts and prayers will be appreciated. Thank you and God bless you.
