Alexis "Lex" Romero Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Our dearest daughter, sister, cousin, and friend Alexis "Lex" Romero has gone to make Heaven a little louder. We are asking for donations to help her mother, Debi, with medical and memorial expenses following the passing of Alexis.

At the age of 15, Alexis was diagnosed with Lupus, which is an inflammatory disease where the bodies immune system attacks itself. Lupus can affect the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs. Throughout the years Lex had battled several diseases, and you would rarely hear her complain. Lex was a fighter to the fullest! She kept herself strong by faithfully attending CrossFit, as long as her body allowed. Even through any pain she may had been experiencing she always carried that big smile on her face. Sadly, Alexis' body could not fight off covid, she fought with everything she had. The Lord saw she was tired and said it was time to come home and be renewed.

Lex was a well known spirit in the city of Azusa. If you didn't see her, you heard her, Lex's laugh was infectious. She was everything one would want to be all rolled into one; beautiful, honest, loyal, funny, dependable, strong minded, a Best Friend too many, accepting to all. Most of all we will miss her energy. Whenever you were in her presence you were laughing and having "good times", as Lex would say.

Lex was a devoted softball coach. She started her coaching career in 2009 for Gladstone High School, and carried on for many years after. She then took on a coaching position with Azusa High School in 2019, and was set to continue for the current season.

The family will truly appreciate any support as well as continued prayers. Alexis has touched MANY lives and will TRULY be missed.

Remember Me

Don't remember me with sadness,
Don't remember me with tears,
Remember all the laughter,
We've shared throughout the years.
Now I am contented
That my life it was worthwhile,
Knowing that I passed along the way
I made somebody smile.
When you are walking down the street
And you've got me on your mind,
I'm walking in your footsteps
Only half a step behind.
So please don't be unhappy
Just because I'm out of sight,
Remember that I'm with you
Each morning, noon and night.
