Alexis (Lexi) Laura 10th anniversary

Hi all, it’s Laura.

As you may know, it’s Lexi’s 10th anniversary on the 8th of November this year. I feel like I’ve blinked and the time has passed. I’ve spent a lot of time this year reflecting and trying to think of something to mark the date this year, as it’s a pretty big one.

One thing that has hugely helped me over the last decade, is my memory box. After Lexi was born, the midwives gave me a beautiful memory box from an amazing charity called Féileacáin. The box contained many different bits to help bring some comfort in the worst days of my life. It continues to bring me comfort as I look through it and keep the physical reminder’s that my beautiful little girl was here.

I would absolutely love if we could raise enough money to donate 10 memory boxes to Féileacáin, one for each year she’s been gone. Boxes are €50 each so I’m looking to raise €500. Any and all support is immensely appreciated. I can’t even begin to find the words to tell you how much these boxes mean to grieving families. I’ve also chosen to fundraise in the month of October as it’s pregnancy and child loss awareness month. I hope you all join me on the 15th at 7pm to light a candle to remember all of the babies that have gone too soon.

Thank you for all of the love and support I’ve been given over the last ten years. Every hug, every text, every grave visit, every memento, it’s brought light to my heart.
