Alexis Nypower’s fight against lymphoma

Hi, my name is Maggie Hansen and I am a lifelong, family friend of Marissa (Kreppel) & Alexis “Lexie” Nypower.

A few weeks ago, our girl, Lexie, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma while in the hospital being treated for an infection in her throat. This all happened so suddenly and unfortunately, Lexie is experiencing a bunch of setbacks as we prepare her for Chemo next week. Between an infection in her throat, fevers, shortness of breath, her lungs constantly filling with fluid, having drains placed in her lungs and her oxygen levels declining she hasn’t been able to start her Chemo therapy yet. Her port for Chemo was placed Friday and she is scheduled to begin treatment on Tuesday (2/27). Please keep her in your thoughts & prayers!

Lexie is now out of work and unfortunately, neither parent has a job that provides paid time off currently. With her Dad recently laid off of work for a couple weeks and just starting back, things are getting difficult to provide for the family and keep up with the bills. Lexie has moved back in with her parents and Marissa has been missing work (unpaid) for doctor visits, hospital stays and preparing to begin Chemo. With bills already piling up, I was hoping with a little help from their family and friends, we could help this family survive during this extremely difficult time. Every little bit helps. To know Lexie is to LOVE her! She is a second daughter to me and my daughter’s best friend since birth. She is truly one of the most loving, caring, kindhearted people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Although only (almost) 23, she is honestly so wise beyond her years and has so much to offer this world! Let’s help Lex fight this fight! Please share! Thank you so much!
