Help Alexis Study Abroad in Ireland and Paris

Hi, my name is Alexis Cameron. I am currently a sophomore, Nursing Student at Mississippi University for Women (MUW). I have had the pleasure of being a part of MUW's Residential Honors Program, which includes a study abroad trip to both Ireland and Paris, this summer 2023. During this trip, there will be a total of two to three classes taken based on Ireland's culture. Where I'll be learning about their literature, art, history, nationalism and identity. This program will last for a total of one month. My departure will be on May 16th and I will return on June 18th. Throughout the trip, I will be taking the opportunity to explore Ireland more in-depth by visiting its historic monuments and museums, visiting local restaurants and trying traditional cuisines. Also, I will get the opportunity to experience Ireland's theater productions, which I am very excited about. One of the most exciting facts I have had the pleasure of discovering so far is that Ireland is a country once known for aiding in the abolishment of slavery in the United States. Learning this information has enhanced my excitement for these new adventures to come. While away in Ireland, I will be taking time to visit the beautiful City of Love in Paris, France.
