Medical Fellowship in Athens Greece

Hi Everyone! My name is Alexis Rushford and I am a Biology Pre-Medical student at the Univeristy of New Haven.  I'm currently a Sophomore, and my career goal is to become a pediatrician! I've wanted to become a doctor for as long as I can remember. I was inspired to persue a career in medicine by watching my mother put herself through nursing school while raising me as a single mother.
I am setting up this page in order to raise money to pay for the fellowship I was just accepted into. I will be traveling to Athens Greece for a month from May 20th to June 16th this summer. While I'm there I will be shadowing doctors at the Attikon General Hospital for 20 hours a week! This is an amazing learning opportunity that will help me prepare in my jouney to medical school. I know the goal I have on this page is high but ANYTHING helps! Even if you are unable to donate right now, sharing this with your friends and family will help me out too. I'm currently working a part time job while going to school and will be saving as much as I can myself. The cost of the program itself is $4,740 plus a $900 deposit fee to secure my spot in the program. Then I will need to purchase my own plane ticket which runs for around $800-$900 round trip. I will also need money for food while I am there because it is not included in the program! Plus money to bring in case of emergencies.
