June 27th many of our lives changed forever . We watched our peer, friend, loved one and partner be brutally attacked and sustain an injury that will undoubtedly take months to fully heal.
Alex's savage will to survive and refusal to accept the hand he had been dealt no doubt was instrumental in saving his own life that day, along with the quick response of his partners who he's closely worked side by side.
Although only a four year veteran, Alex shows a dedication to the citizens of Sacramento County that they can be proud of. On June 27th, he almost paid the ultimate price for that dedication.
I sit here writing this still in shock of the incident and events that unfolded that day. How could something so horrific, so tragic, so senseless, happen to somebody like Alex. Our Alex.
In the coming months Alex's family will need our support more than ever.
Alex was the victim of the worst humanity has to offer, now let's show him the best.
Support Alex in his time of need. We love you buddy. Our Alex.
I've been a partner with Alex for the past two years in Regional Transit Police Services. He's a solid deputy and close friend. A partner you want by your side.
We hope that the money raised can be used in any way necessary, given the long road to recovery that awaits him. Alex should now be able to focus on his family and loved ones, not having to worry about any financial responsibilities that arise and deter from them.
