Alex's Bar Mitzvah Fundraiser for Hungry for Music
Tax deductible
Hello friends and family! For my Bar Mitzvah Project, I chose to donate and fundraise for Hungry for Music based in Washington, DC. Hungry for Music is a non-profit where they use the money that they raise to give a kid who can't afford an instrument something like a trumpet, drum set, saxophone, guitar, or any musical instrument you can think of!
This appeals to me because of my love for music, and that’s not just playing one. While I do perform on instruments, I also think one of the best parts of music is listening and enjoying it.
When you have an instrument in your hands, whether you know how to play it or not, you can create anything. Soon, you get better and better. I have been playing piano for four years, saxophone for three, and guitar for two. These instruments give me the experience to create something great and have fun while doing it.
Some kids cannot afford an instrument, usually in school. I bet that if a young child doesn’t have much to do, but they can’t afford a hobby like an instrument, Hungry for Music is the perfect way to brighten curious kids’ day.
Thanks for donating! I really appreciate it :)
