Alex’s charity music event in aid of Neuroendocrine Cancer
Donation protected
As some of you may be aware, I am in the process of organising a charity music event which will now take place in September 2024.
I am raising funds to cover the cost of organising my charity music event, dedicated to supporting the Neuroendocrine Cancer UK charity.
I’m hoping to raise as much as possible, and any funds donated beyond this goal will also go directly to the charity.
Additionally I will be collecting donations during the event, ensuring that every contribution resonates with the spirit of giving, and supports those affected by Neuroendocrine Cancer.
Be apart of this meaningful initiative-your support can make a significant impact on the lives of individuals battling with this rare form of cancer.
My story;
So..my journey since July has been incredibly challenging, marked by a series of troubling symptoms. The sudden diagnosis of pancreatic cancer came after 15 hours at my local hospital’s A&E department, a condition my doctor initially mistook for an allergy and tried to treat with creams and antihistamines.
Subsequent tests and scans revealed a tumour in the head of my pancreas, which turned out to be the rare form known as a “pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour”.
I was fortunate to be referred to one of the country's most experienced biliary surgeons, boasting 36 years of expertise.
After three harrowing months, on Monday, October 9th, a lengthy 8-hour operation successfully removed the cancer, with no sign of spread anywhere.
I now continue my recovery
Huge thanks for your ongoing support from me personally!
