Alex's ongoing medical care since 2014 attack.

Summarizing this life to fit the format required is a violent reduction and i apologize for it's bluntness.
Alex Reynoso suffered near-fatal gunshot wounds when anonymous gunmen attacked him and his 16-year-old daughter, Topacio, in April 2014. Alex barely survived, and Topacio died early the next day. He is active in the peaceful, ongoing resistance to the Canadian-owned silver mine at El Escobal, in San Rafael las Flores, south of Mataquescuintla, making them targets of pro-mine factions in the community. Alex was again attacked months later in another shooting. He requires ongoing care for his injuries, particularly gastro-intestinal complications and has been in and out of the hospital this year. The financial burden for the family is untenable. We hope to raise money from our community to help offset the costs of his ongoing medical care. He is a humble man and never asks for help, so I've asked for his permission to launch this fundraiser. Thank you.
