Help Alfie Run Again - Needs Urgent Knee Surgery

Alfie is our beautiful 8 year old siberian husky, and to say he means the world to my family is an understatement. He's my best friend, and the most trustworthy, gentle, loyal and loving companion you could ever ask for.
Sadly, Alfie has torn his cruciate ligament and can now barely walk on it - evidently causing him a great deal of pain, and requiring surgery to give him his quality of life back.
Upon trying to claim for Alfie's much-needed surgery on our insurance, we were told they wouldn't grant the funding, and it has left us no choice but to cancel his surgery date.
My family are not financially fortunate enough to be able to afford Alfie's surgery independently whilst continuing to put food on the table, and we do not live in the catchment area of a PDSA, despite otherwise being eligible.
In dog years, Alfie is only in his 50's - and I cannot bear to sentence him to live the rest of his life with this painful injury without at least trying everything I can do - and that is why you are reading this now.
If you are able, I ask you with my whole heart that you consider donating any amount - no matter how small - to help us get Alfie's quality of life back; so he walk pain-free again, and run like we can see he wishes he could.
Not once, has Alfie ever, ever let us down, and yet I feel like I have failed him by not being able to afford the treatment that he needs and deserves. I love him so much, and all I want is for him to be happy again.
