Alfredo's Final Wish

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share this story about Alfredo V. Dela Cruz, 49 years of age residing in Calgary, Alberta.

In the second week of November, Alfredo was admitted to the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary and was diagnosed with blood cancer. His daughter, Apple, stayed by his side day and night in the hospital. Apple, being one of the two only family members here in Canada with Alfredo, did her very best to stay strong for her dad and support him in his path to healing. The hospital began an aggressive chemotherapy treatment and started a search for a bone marrow donor. Alfredo developed some complications during his treatment and was unable to continue his fight, passing away in the ICU on December 30th with Apple by his side.

Alfredo's last wish was to have his final resting place back in the Philippines. With all of the emotional pain and stress that death brings, it can also bring financial burdens, especially with the cost of bringing Alfredo home to the Philippines. We would like to raise money for Apple so that she can make her dad's final wish come true and help with the funeral expenses to bring her dad home by the end of January.
