Hi, my name is James. I am taking on a #quininagym in the name of science!
James Simpson is participating 5 iron distance triathlons in 5 days INDOORS,.... or put it another way, a total of 12 miles of swimming, 6600 miles cycling and 131 running. Lets break that down, every day on average, James will swim 2.5 miles, cycle for 112 miles and then run a marathon, all for Alfreton Youngster's Umbrella Provision(AYUP) !!
What is he raising the money for?
To support AYUP in their objectives to provide a safe and secure environment, where persons aged 11 - 18 years (inclusive) can meet, build positive relationships, participate in activities and gain new skills.
It will help young people in Alfreton develop a positive attitude to their community and act as diversionary activities to discourage inclination to anti-social behaviour. Alfreton Youngsters Umbrella Provision (AYUP) will encourage and support young people to accept leadership roles, take on responsibilities and guide the development and direction of the group.
James will attempt this gruelling feat xx/xx/xx
