*Update*
It's happening! Our first single will be launched November 1st and the album will come out on Jan. 10th. I'll keep posting updates here throughout the process!!
The Album is ready and I am making the final adjustments to each track. The goal has been drastically reduced due to some fabulous studio space that has been made available to us. We have 13 tracks that will be recorded, including two instrumental pieces. The finish line is approaching!
My name is Ali and I created this fundraiser to make an album of original songs. It's been a few years since I've started it and so many things have changed. The goal is still the same, but the ball is much further down the road. I now almost have a full album of music ready to record but I'd like one or two more songs and I've moved to Austin in order to workshop and begin performing live!
Thank you so much if you've already supported this fundraiser, we are still full steam ahead!
My background:
Before the pandemic Ali performed as a double bassist with the National Symphony, Detroit Symphony, and Baltimore Symphony. She has since moved to Austin, Texas to pursue singing and songwriting as the founder of Ali and the Wild Geese.
Ali has extensive experience performing orchestral, opera, chamber, and new music on an international level. She also plays, sings, and arranges for QuinTango; a Virginia-based, concertized tango ensemble.
Her symphonic career has taken her on tour to Russia and Carnegie Hall with the National Symphony Orchestra as well as Germany, Turkey, Spain, and Austria with Christoph Eschenbach and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. She has performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Washington National Opera, Tanglewood Music Festival Orchestra, Spoleto Festival USA, the Alabama Symphony, and at the Salzburger Festspiele.
