Hello, my name is Richard Alfred Johnson. I have been a potter and sculptor for 51 years.

Alice Crie Knight was a festival director for many years and invited my wife Susan and I to show our work at the Maine Lobster Festival in 1976. We have been involved in the Festival ever since.

The day before the festival opened in 2022. Alice passed away. It became very clear to me that the Neptune sculpture should be donated to the Festival in her memory and dedicated to all the volunteers who make the Maine Lobster Festival possible each year.

We are starting this gofundme fundraiser to cast the seated mermaid in bronze and add it to our Neptune Monument located at Harbor Park in Rockland, Me.
