Alice Ochs Funeral

On Sunday, April 7, 2019 Alice Ochs, mother of EJ Ochs & ReaAnn Mattke, was the victim in a fatality vehicle accident in Southwest Kansas.
Alice relocated to Garden City, Kansas a few years ago and was well liked, especially at the Garden City Police Department where she would stop by on occasion to visit her son, Lieutenant Ochs. Alice was a cheerful, friendly spirit who will be greatly missed by the lives she touched.
This week has proven to be a mix of emotions as EJ and his wife Brandy welcomed their new son one day following Alice's passing.
The family is now working toward final arrangements for Alice while getting to know her newest grandchild. Although friends and coworkers cannot help with the funeral arrangements, we can help ease the financial burden by contributing to the cause.
EJ has selflessly given his time and talent to the Garden City Police Department for many years and continues to grow and evolve both as a leader and friend. Please take a moment to support a brother in blue and his family during this difficult time.

With a very heavy heart today we learned my mother, Alice Ochs, was a victim in a fatality vehicle accident. She lived her life for her children and grandkids. The flood of emotions are difficult with my wife and I expecting the birth of our second son tomorrow morning. RaeAnn Mattke and I will do our best to keep everyone posted regarding final arrangements. We will forever miss you mom!
