Alice's Escape to Safety

My name is Star (she/her). My wife Alice and I live in Florida during a scary time. Alice is a transgender woman. She has overcome immense dysphoria and social anxiety to start living her truth. She was overjoyed when she was able to start hormone replacement therapy (HRT) back in April.

Florida is not safe for transgender people. It is imperative I get her out before she is physically attacked or arrested for being herself. I am terrified that, if forced to detransition, Alice’s mental health will deteriorate quickly. HRT has already proven to be beneficial to her mental health.

Our car is in bad shape and unable to pull our pop-up camper. We rely on our vehicle to earn an income that pays our living expenses, but with little leftover to help us save money. Our savings are almost gone, and we may not be able to escape Florida before it's too late.

Please help us raise enough to get us a reliable SUV or van and get us out of here. We hope to raise enough funds to help other Florida refugees escape also.
