Alicia Celeste Gallegos

Hello all, my name is Rachael Hidalgo, mother of Alicia Gallegos. I want to start by expressing how thankful I am for not only my family coming together, but for all of the Lansing community coming together as well. Thank you for reaching out and sending all of the love and support to my family and I since the news of my daughter being murdered. Alicia was loved by so many people!! She was kind and funny, smart and beyond gorgeous. Alicia had such a beautiful soul. She was adventurous and fun. Her smile would light up the room and her voice? Ah! It could pull a crowd together that was never meant to dance. Alicia struggled most of her teenage/adult life with depression, and for a while she hid it so well. She did eventually turn to other things to help numb her pain, which her family understood, but never agreed with. Alicia never wanted to hurt herself, she never wanted to just die. She was a young woman that didn't know how to handle her pain or express it. Alicia never wanted to hurt anyone, she just wanted to have fun and escape the reality of the pain she was living in for 10+ years. I've never been the one ask for help, but I'm here asking for family and friends from all over to come together once again and help us to be able to cover all funeral and burial costs for my daughter. Behind Alicia, she leaves her three children, mother, father, 6 brothers, 4 sisters 2 nieces and 1 nephew, as well as plenty of uncles and cousins. Everyone that knows who Alicia was, knows she never deserved anything like this. I mean what innocent woman deserves what happened to her?

My family and I are extremely grateful and blessed to have such a strong family and community behind us. Thank you all for everything you've done. I know this storm is just starting, but thank you for all the prayers and support. Please everyone even if it's not a donation, who you believe in, is besides the point, please just pray for my daughters justice. please pray and share her story. Someone knows something, someone seen something that could lead to the capture of the person/persons involved in my daughters death.
