Alicia Frank-Haviland’s cancer treatment copay
Donation protected
UPDATE:
Im adding below new expenses that Alicia needs help with as new bills arrive and social security income is limited despite how expensive it is to live in Seattle.
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted individuals,
We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts and a plea for support. Our beloved mother, Alicia Frank-Haviland, has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. As she navigates this difficult journey, we are seeking your help to alleviate some of the financial burdens she's currently facing.
Background:
While living in South Carolina, my mom, Alicia underwent several necessary tests, resulting in substantial copay bills totaling $685.11. Additionally, due to her deteriorating health, we made the difficult decision to fund her move back home, which incurred a cost of $3,000. As her devoted children, we did everything we could to ensure her comfort and safety during this challenging time.
Current Situation:
Alicia is currently relying on a fixed income from her late husband's social security. However, this income is barely enough to cover her basic needs, let alone the mounting medical expenses and upcoming divorce costs. To make matters worse, winter is fast approaching, and her trailer lacks a reliable propane service to keep her warm.
How You Can Help:
We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds specifically for the outstanding copay bills and treatment costs. Any amount contributed will significantly alleviate the financial burden on our mother and allow her to focus on her health. In the spirit of full transparency, any additional funds raised beyond the medical expenses will be put towards providing a dependable propane service for her trailer, ensuring she can stay warm and comfortable throughout the winter months. As well as these items:
1. Medical Expenses:
2. Transportation Expenses:
- Gas money for transportation to and from her oncology appointments
3. Comfort and Pain Relief Items:
- Normal heating pad
- Pillow to help with arm pain
- Forehead thermometer
- Propane to heat her trailer during the winter
4. Storage unit since she’s downsized her home to come stay near family
Your generosity and support will mean the world to our family during this challenging time. By contributing, you'll not only be helping with the immediate financial needs but also providing much-needed emotional and mental relief for our mother as she fights this battle. No donation is too small, and every dollar counts in making a difference in her life.
Please keep Alicia in your thoughts and prayers as she awaits her appointment with Fred Hutchison in mid-November to determine the best course of treatment. Your kindness and compassion will have a lasting impact on her journey towards recovery.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering our plea and for being a beacon of hope for our family. Together, we can make a difference in the life of a strong, loving, and deserving woman.
With utmost gratitude,
Her children,
Andrea and Adam
