Alicia Swenson
This fundraiser honors the life of Alicia Ann Swenson. Alicia was a bright light in the lives of so many people: her parents, her four brothers, her friends, and her coworkers. This light was extinguished on February 17, 2017, when Alicia lost her life to domestic violence at the age of 33.
Alicia was born in Northfield, Minnesota on November 21, 1983. Growing up with four older brothers, Alicia grew to love sports and spent much of her time playing hockey at the local ice arena. Alicia eventually came to be a decorated member of the Northfield High School girl’s hockey team. After graduating in 2002, Alicia studied interior design at Dakota County Technical College. She later combined her artistic skills with her love of health and wellness, and began working for Aveda and Sephora. Alicia was awarded for her leadership and dedication throughout her career. Alicia’s greatest impact, however, was on the lives of the countless young women she mentored and inspired.
In her spare time, Alicia enjoyed vegetable gardening and raising chickens. She had an unforgettable smile and a loving soul. Alicia lived her life to the fullest and was generous in sharing her joy and laughter with others. Alicia’s tragic passing has devastated all of us who knew and loved her.
In an effort to relieve her family’s financial burden during this difficult time, we hope you will consider contributing a monetary gift to honor Alicia’s memory.
Your generosity is deeply appreciated. Please take a moment to share with us the special memories you have of Alicia.
