Alicia & The Popp Family

This Go Fund Me was created to show love and support to the Popp family. On Saturday, October 8th, Alicia Popp, a mom of four, suffered a heart attack at the age of 43 years old. The next day she had two stents placed and a dissected artery repaired. The vessel that was blocked was the largest coronary artery, and it was almost 100% blocked. Most of us know Alicia as an example of great health. The fact that she could have almost 100% blockage at 43 years old was astounding. Alicia was hospitalized for four days, and then only 48 hours after coming home was rushed to the ER again with similar symptoms. Thankfully, Alicia is now home recovering. Medical bills will be high for Alicia and her family. Many of you know that Alicia has been out of work since July when she lost her job as a Licensed Master Social Worker due to her workplace closing their doors. Now that she is considered "sick," she will no longer be able to receive unemployment. The family's high deductible health insurance plan just renewed, so they will be responsible for paying a significant amount of the hospital bills out of pocket. Additionally, the prescription medications that Alicia will be on long-term are very expensive. One medication alone is $400 per month.
