Alicia Ventura’s Memorial College Fund

Precious Friends and Family,

Our hearts are broken.

On Monday, July 24th we received devastating news.

My ex-husband of thirteen years, my daughter’s daddy, and my best friend of many years succumbed to his battle with cancer at age 41.

My daughter’s loving father, Fidel Ventura, fought harder than anyone I know. He endured the indignities of cancer along with the excruciating side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.

He never gave up! He fought with dignity and grace, never complaining!

We’re so proud of him!

He’s finally at peace.

He’s survived by our precious daughter who is entering high school this year without her father, and his support.

Alicia is brilliant, compassionate, caring, beautiful, and exudes kindness.

Alicia has a passion for healthcare. She wants to treat cancer patients. Her mom is a cancer survivor, her maternal grandmother and father both succumbed to cancer.

We have a single-parent household and support for Alicia’s education would be invaluable and appreciated!

Alicia’s father was the son of immigrants. He graduated college and valued education above all else.

Fidel Ventura was a proud, lifetime student of martial arts and found his home in Jiu jitsu!

Fidel was an accomplished gamer and game collector who passed the gaming gene to our daughter!

Nothing would honor his memory more than his only daughter going to college!
