Unfortunately, Alicia's life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with cancer. Despite the shock and fear that this news brought, Alicia remains resilient and hopeful. We find ourselves united by a common purpose – to come together and support someone dear to us in her most challenging battle yet. We would like to introduce you to Alicia Soto, a beloved wife, aunt, and friend who has been diagnosed with cancer. Alicia was a teacher for over 20 years with hundreds of students who she cared for deeply. As she fights against this relentless adversary, she is facing not only the physical and emotional toll but also the overwhelming burden of medical expenses. We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts to ask for your assistance in this time of need.

Alicia is currently undergoing treatment at the Ohio State University, where she is receiving the best possible care. However, as her treatment continues, the medical expenses are rapidly accumulating. These financial burdens are compounded by the fact that Alicia cannot work at this time due to the rigorous treatment schedule and the toll that the illness has taken on her body. Her husband Gabriel has also taken an extended leave from work to be with her as much as possible during this stressful time. The mounting medical bills, combined with the everyday costs of living, have created a situation of immense stress for Alicia and her family.

My aunt is presently dealing with tumors that fill up her stomach and there is also a large cancerous tumor. She can't walk right now and is using a wheelchair and a walker. Her tumor caused a large and small fracture that caused a hole in her hip bone. She has to wear a morphine pump for her pain.
