Alika and Yumi start a new journey

Hi, my name is Lexi, I am starting this fundraiser to help my friend Alika start a new journey after losing his community and employment to the Lahaina fires.

Alika, a Hawaiian native, has served the Lahaina, Maui community for decades. Whether it was playing music, letting people store their surfboards at his house, a shaka wave, a laugh, or a hug.

Alika has shared Aloha with many visitors allowing them to enjoy his community as their new home. He has always worked hard in the tourism community by cooking and serving, ensuring guests felt Aloha.

Now that he can no longer work in Lahaina, he and his fiance, Yumi Yasuhara, would like to restart their life in a new community.

Donations will help them with moving costs and living costs while they search for employment and find a place to call their home.
