Alisa’s Cremation Memorial Fund, to Help Brittany

In the chilly early morning hours of January 12, 2024, Alisa Mae Floyd’s decades-long battle with liver disease and it’s related complications finally came to an end, with her daughter Brittany by her side. She is survived by her loving children Summer, Brittany, Dillon, and Dustin—as well as beloved grandchildren Ethan, Natalie, Abigail, and Lyric.

When Alisa reached end-stage liver disease 8 years ago, doctors estimated she had roughly 6 months to live. It shows just how much of a fighting spirit and will to live she had to defy medical expectations time and time again—no more so than when she drove to Brittany’s front door with the surprise that she was moving to Oregon for her remaining years! It’s been a long and difficult journey to Alisa’s final rest, where her body and soul can now find peace and her loved ones can grieve her loss in the comfort that she is no longer in pain. In this, we all recognize and feel the loss is bittersweet.

Together, some of Brittany’s friends are creating this fundraiser in an effort to help Brittany to pay for cremation and memorial services and to try to offset some of the financial burden she has incurred recently and over the years for her mother’s cost of living, medical, and family travel expenses.
