Alisha, Mia, Nico and baby Santella fundraiser

The loved ones of the Santella Family are welcoming donations directly to Alisha via gofundme after the unexpected and tragic loss of Matty on the evening of March 7th.

Alisha, the cherished wife of Matty have spent 23 years together. They have resided in Worcester Massachusetts for over 15 years. They welcomed two beautiful children to their family in their early 20s – Mia, now age 15 and Nico, now age 12. Alisha and Matty were elated to announce the arrival of their third child, expected in early April 2023.

On the evening of March 7th, Matty passed unexpectedly, leaving Alisha, Mia and Nico without their beloved father and provider.

Matty was an energetic force bringing fun and liveliness to all around him. He was a devoted father and an extremely hard worker as an electrician.

His passion for sports, especially hockey, translated into him teaching Nico to become not only a fantastic player, but a player whose team is nationally ranked and travels throughout North America competing in tournaments. The hockey community is one that the Santella’s are deeply involved with. He was an amazing teacher and father to both Nico and Mia. Matty and Mia loved shopping and dining out frequently on their father/daughter “date nights”.

Matty’s other passions included golf, music, dancing and cooking – his specialty being pizza! Friends will remember Matty as the life of the party – not only playing with his own children but entertaining all of his friend’s kids as well. He was always inquisitive of others and made it a point to talk to everyone. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family leaving a void that can never be filled.
