Alison Gray Family Fund

Fundraising on behalf of the Gray children in their time of need to pay for funeral and living expenses after the loss of their mother Alison Gray.

Alison was a loving single mother of her three children, Jess, Eden and her only son Josh. She did everything she could to give her children everything they needed while having no support from her family or the fathers of her children.

On the late hours of Friday the 13th of January her children had found her laying on the bathroom floor, after a few questions they had discovered she had a fall and an ambulance was called. She arrived in emergency just after midnight and they took her away for CT scans a few hours later. Just after 7am the doctor came in and told her children they had discovered a massive lesion on her frontal lobe and she needs to be transferred to RBWH to see the Neuro specialists.

A week later Alison had a biopsy to discover what the lesion was and it was discovered that she had a Glioblastoma- an aggressive type of brain cancer that can’t be cured with chemo or radiation. The average life span is 8 months.

Her three children put their lives on hold and came together this past month to spend as much time as possible with their mother, Ambulance Wish Qld organised a final beach trip for Alison and her children and she celebrated her 53rd Birthday in hospital with family and cake.

Alison passed peacefully in her sleep with her children by her side on Saturday 25th February. Only 6 weeks from when she was admitted to hospital. Due to the short time frame, her children are now facing the financial stress of organising a funeral and other bills that have been passed on.

Please help support this family during this painful time to help pay for a funeral and living expenses and support the children while they grieve and make arrangements for the youngest, Josh to move out of the family home where he and Alison lived. Funerals are extremely expensive so any support is welcome.
