Alison Little and Her Brave Journey Ahead
Donation protected
After much deliberation I've decided that I'm going to document this next stage of my partner Alison's journey. It's going to be an extremely challenging one but if anyone can overcome great odds it's this woman.
2 months ago, Ali started experiencing some worrisome discomfort in her left eye. After several doctor and ophthalmology visits, not to mention round after round of antibiotics, she was getting nowhere. As the weeks went by and the issue worsened, we finally found ourselves in the ER with a CT Scan that highlighted a mass behind her eye.
On April 10th she received her first surgery to remove the mass and is currently in recovery at Wake Forest in Winston Salem, NC. The first official biopsy of the mass, now being officially called a tumor, has come back as "malignant" in nature. Not the news we wanted to hear but feeling very fortunate that the surgery was a success and that a majority of the tumor was removed by the Neurosurgeon here at Wake Forest. She has a long path ahead but we are feeling hopeful and optimistic about the future. Already so many of you have shown your support in so many ways and we are completely humbled by the outpouring of love that has been sent our way.
So many of you have asked "What can we do for you? How can we help?" And to be honest, right now it's a hard question to answer. Ali is officially out of work for the unforeseeable future and her medical bills have already started piling up as we knew that they would. With all of this being said, to lessen the financial strain that this is causing I have decided to start a GoFundMe account for her. We have zero expectations but we wanted our tribe of loved ones to have a singular place to "help". In the end, thoughts, prayers, good vibes, (whatever name you may have for it) are all that we expect from you and we are so grateful to have you by our side on this journey. Even if it's from afar. Thank you for reading and thank you for your love.
